2011 F150 XLT! 5.0L

As of last night the wife and I are proud owners of a 2011 F150! Does anyone know much about these new 5.0's? What aftermarket upgrades are recommended? Intake/exhaust kits? Programmer?

This truck rides so smooth and certainly has power to spare. Gonna be the wife's daily driver and she absolutely loves it!

5.0's a great engine. Can make good power with a tune. Even better with a supercharger kit

Lol! Thanks Dave. Only looking at mild upgrades tho, since my Super Duty will remain the primary hauler... don't need much more power than it already has. I'm more interested in squeezing a few extra MPG out of it (yes, I know these trucks aren't intended to be economic).

She wants a grille guard to put on it for her birthday too (I sure love her!). I've looked at the Ranch Hand brand and am considering it, but do ya'll know of any others that would actually stand up to a deer?

Sharp truck. I wonder how the 5.0 compares to the ecoboost. I have just about convinced my wife to trade off her POS Saturn Outlook for a F150.

Shoulda bought the 6.2. The f150 with a 6.2 is an absolute animal!

Look at a Fab Fours full replacement, I have one that I bought from another member and it looks like it could handle a cow! As for tuning, give Mike a call at 5 Star Tuning, just do an internet search, he does wonders with gas tuning. Nice truck!

As fun as that woulda been, this 5.0 was just within our price range. REALLY liked the Ecoboosted Lariat we test drove too, but couldn't swing $525 per month
