LOOKING INTO A SUPERDUTY V10

What are the common problems with the v10 engines. and how do people like them. i tow a 10,000lb toyhauler only a few times a year. right know i have a 05 f350 6.0 and im tired of fixing it. the v10 is going to be my daily driver.

i think you will regret doing this. What kind of problems are you having with the 6.0?

I had an 07 with the same problems. Traded it in for an 08 F-250 V10 and have not looked back. I love the V10, it is thirsty but still $1000s cheaper than always making repairs. I tow a toy-hauler around 8,000 lbls with the 2 atvs & it does a great job. For me the V10 is a perfect fit.

Sounds like a viable plan to me. I'd be happy with a v10 for daily driving if I didn't tow a lot. It should tow your rig fine, just don't expect it tow quite as fine as the diesel.

The 3v generation is a fair bit stronger than the 2v version also.

Depends on what year you're looking at, try to get an 05 or newer since that is the 3V and the Torqueshift transmission. Up until the Job 2 08's, there was some problems with the plugs breaking off in the heads. Another common problems was the studs breaking off on the exhaust manifolds, not major, just a pain to fix. They are thirsty, I get about 14.5 going down the highway and about 10.5-11 in town. I towed a 14k toy hauler for awhile and got about 5mpg on a good day. All in all, I love the truck and so does the gas station!
