Diesel exhaust on gasser?

What do you guys think? I have my old 6.0 exhaust from the cat back and thinking of putting it on a 88 F250 with a 460. It should work but do you think there will be power gains? I'm also thinking of making my own exhaust for the truck and just using my RBP muffler that I took off my 6.0.

yeah if you just run a single pipe your old exhaust should be fine. Might be a little too big and loose low end though. As for the muffler I would go with something else besides the stocker from your 6.0 You wan't a free flow muffler but at the same time you do want back pressure.

If it were me I'd go dual 2-1/2 pipe with and x or h pipe.

I had a buddy that put a diesel exhaust on his truck no muffler and all tht sounded great but after about 6 months or so he burned up his valves and it was due to no back pressure so i would do it would look nice but if i was in your shoes i would make sure you got a muffler that will create some back pressure so you dont pull the same mistake that he did
