89 mustang 5.0
Ive been running just regular 85 fuel in my 5.0 and was wondering if i used the 93 would it run better because its been a little lagging lately. Thanks for any help

Octane is the resistance to detination. So if you have no ping, not really.

What is your location? 85 and availability of 93? I've seen 85 at higher elevations, but only up to 89-91. How bout new plugs and some fuel system cleaner?

Haha. I didnt even notice 85. My mind thought 87. Yea, 85 your timing would need to be really retarded (like 10-11*) on a stock 5L.
