97 F250 which engine do I have?

My friend has a 97 F250 2 wheel drive V-8 gas engine. Under the hood there is a factory sticker that says 5.0 / 5.8L, Which do we have. Also there is a 5/8" heater hose that attaches from the heater core to a fitting directly next to the distributor, that fitting is leaking coolant out of a 3/8" nipple, this nipple appears to be pressed and perhaps soldered into a larger piece that looks screws into the intake with a dual wire plug in just above the 3/8" nipple. We need to replace the fitting but not sure what it is called. Anyone advice is appreciated.

You have a 302ci I think. Write down the V.I.N. and "search" it on google. I bet it will come up. It will tell you. I have a 95 F150 and it's a 4.9 but is a 300ci straight six. I don't remember which digit on the VIN is the engine code, sorry. Like a 289HO is a K code.

Just look at the aluminum intake runner on top of the engine. It will say 5.0 or 5.8 on it.
