Stacks on a gasser??

So I'm driving home today and what should pass me going the other way is a newer F150 all jacked up with 6" turnouts prolly 48"s tall because they had to be above the roof like a foot. I'm like WTH? Are gassers using stacks now too? Has anybody seen this by them? Just wonderin............

My first truck had stacks. It was a 1986 f-250 with the 302. The frame was cracked due to rust, it was a pile. But when the exhaust fell out i decided to bend my self some stacks. They were small 2 and 3/4 inch pipe, they looked kind of cool, and sounded sweet. It was fun in the winter plowing snow because you could see the exhaust. But it was nothing like a diesel.

Yeah never thought of that. We don't see gassers around these parts with stacks so that's why I thought it was odd.

They are all over the place...I've even seen some Ford SD Gassers w/ 'em. I had to take a double take in the parking lot b/c it was parked. (Had the tale-tale Triton V8 badge on the fender.) I just laughed. It's a waste of $$$ if you ask me...and it CAN'T be legal on a modern truck.
