need a trans. where is the best

need to find a trans for my 96 f-350 4x4 cclb with a 460, the E4OD went out today, so where is a great trans company with out spending 5 grand. I rely on this truck on the road to much to chance a used one. Suncoast does not seem to have one for gassers, will a diesel model work? is there a benefit/hassle?Does anyone know if I convert it to a 5 speed, do I have to change the computer as well??

2000 ccsb auto, 4x4 259,xxx and still climbing. TS 6 position chip, aih delete, 4" MBRP, recon cab lights, cowl hood, useless zoodad mod, CTS Insight to monitor, boost fooler, Garret GTP38 turbo, Airaid cold air box, TDK prerunner protecting the front, the wonderful Stancor GPR, still on the original trans, and all wrapped up in a beautiful black package.

Where are you located? There's a local trans shop in the greater Milwaukee area that does great work for a very reasonable price.

Hmm that'd be a little hike for a trans.
