need a trans. where is the best

need to find a trans for my 96 f-350 4x4 cclb with a 460, the E4OD went out today, so where is a great trans company with out spending 5 grand. I rely on this truck on the road to much to chance a used one. Suncoast does not seem to have one for gassers, will a diesel model work? is there a benefit/hassle?Does anyone know if I convert it to a 5 speed, do I have to change the computer as well??

Where are you located? There's a local trans shop in the greater Milwaukee area that does great work for a very reasonable price.
