I forgot the company, but they make o2 sensor simulators. I used to have one in my Neon when i was running w/out a cat. It was for the down stream O2...(after cat) That's the only one you will need. I think they are like $30-50 each.

Here is an example:

Stump,
I did a little (read quick) research and it looks like they are MAD illiegal and most of them are getting pulled off the net. Casper Electronics was the company that I was thinking about. They don't offer one anymore. I had one that you unplug the weather pack connector from the real sensor and snap in the fooler...then do what ever to your exhaust. The fooler just screwed to the side of the frame rail and stayed there. If I were you, I would weld in a bung in your new exhaust and put the O2 sensor in there and hide the wiring...just incase someone gets nosey at the dealer/emission testing.

It's actually a 555 timing circuit. Here is a link about it for a Supra:

Your F-150 has 4???!!! No way. It SHOULD have 2, one in the exhaust manifold (upstream) and one after the cat (down stream). You only need one for the downstream O2 sensor. Keep the upstream O2 in place!

In that case, you would need 2, one for each down stream sensor, after the cat. I've never heard of two cats though...I'm sure there were a few vehicles out there with 'em though.

4 dang O2 sensors?! That's gonna get MIGHTY expencive to replace during the 60K mile service. Some of those sensors can be $150 each! The ones for my Neon are like $110 a piece...b/c they have a heating element in 'em to aid in the readings during cold start.
