how reliable is a 351, i got a 95 5.8 at the shop i can get for 400$ that needs HG's im gonna do em both, not sure of the mileage on it, i think its about 154k. how reliable is this engine. its auto 4x4. i think im gonna pick it up and maybe drop an IDI in it later on with a D60 up front with 450 springs

351W's are pretty stout motors.. see alot of em around.. i'd drive it.

That aint no lie i got about 160 miles out of both tanks in my 95

my mother in law had a 5.8 with over 300,000 on it when she sold it. it was still running strong

Best gas engine I ever had, 170,000 on 6" lift and 35's since 40,000, replaced heater core and starter the entire time I owned it, great engine and truck.

351w are good motors sold a 350 van that had one in it 186k on it still running see it around every now and again.
