Question Years the torqshift was used???

I am looking at buying a work truck this week for the farm.. It will prolly be an early 2000s model 250or350 with a gas in it.... Was the torqshift ever mated up with either the 5.4 or the V10??? If so what years??? I would feel a lil better if the truck had the 5spd vs the prone to failure 4r100???

Thanks in advance

It was an option but a different version and I don't think you could get it until 05.

TorqShift used 2003.5 and newer with the release of the 6.0L.....IIRC, someone else will verify gas engine applications shortly I'm sure, but I know they didn't come out til the 6.0's were released.

i would assume its when the 6.0 put into the lineup. but look at the dash. if it says PRND21 its a 4R100. if it says PRND321 its a tqushift.
