02 f150 OD

got a 02 f150 5.4 auto noticed the last few weeks sometimes the overdrive on the shifter will flash on and off u have to turn truck off to get it to stop

PSD, I have had the same indication and was told by a friend (ford mechanic) to count the flashes as it is flashing a code to you. On mine, my cooler was plugged and the tranny was sending an overtemp code. I took it to the dealer (still under warranty at the time) and they replaced the cooler. Hope this helps.
