problem switch

I know this is not a PSD request but there are a lot of techs here. My uncle has a Windstar that the interior lights go on and the factory alarm sounds for no reason. Does Ford use the same type of switch in the van as the SD's, in the door latch??

We are looking to repair. If it works like the SD switch maybe it's just stuck just don't want to start poking around and cause more damage.
