New 2011 F250 with the 6.2

Well, I'm no longer owner of a 6.4 diesel. I've decided to go with a 6.2 liter gas engine. I really like this truck, and it should serve me well. I do a lot of in town driving and pull my enclosed trailer on average twice a month.

I've owned it since last Saturday (almost a week) and it has a little over 200 miles. When I put more miles on it, I'll give an update.

Here are some pics:

Any regrets yet? How does the 6.2 run compared to your 6.4? I've been contemplating making the switch myself. Would like to hear a few good comments first.

Beautiful !!!

Please keep us posted on the mileage. I want a diesel but can't justify the cost. Good luck with it. Can you post a couple of interior photos?

Thanks!

Joe

I dont have any regrets at all. I put alot of thought in the decision to trade the 6.4. The 6.2 obviously doesnt have the low end grunt that the 6.4 has but it's just as quick. My 6.4 was never tuned so as far as raw acceleration it's about the same with an empty truck IMO without being timed. I havent towed or hauled with it yet but that's when I expect to see the biggest difference. I will only be towing or hauling 20% of the time, the other 80 will be regular driving. Dont get me wrong my 6.4 was a great truck, but my use would have probably led it major problems a little later. I do alot of city driving, sometimes short distances. Most of my towing is also in town.

This engine, tranny truck combo is silky smooth and has plenty of power to move it down the road.

After I put more miles on it and tow/ haul a little, I'll give a better update.

Im interested in the long term too. I was thinking about getting an 11 F250 with the 6.2 instead of the 5.0 Mustang. I would still like to hear how it turns out for you because that might be my next purchase.

Front, how are you still liking it? If my 6.0 keeps its crap up I am very strongly considering a 6.2. Would love a 6.7 but for 8K more and it does't look like diesel is coming back to or below gas anytime soon I might look more toward this!!

I'm wondering too, I picked up an 08 V10 and love it so far. What kind of mileage are you getting?
