cruise control broke

Anyone know what the main cause of cruise control failure on a 1988 F250 would be? I'm thinking a vacuum line or it could be electronic problems. If anyone has any ideas on what the problem is let me know.

I know on the PSDs the rear speed sensor is bad about going out. Not sure if it could be something similar on an older model or not. Might be something to check into though.

Also to the truck has the 460 with a 5 speed.

Bump Bump Bump again. I need to know how to fix this. Everything else works on the truck but this and I want it to work.

I had a problem with cruise on my 99, the brake switch on the end of the master cylinder was bad, don't know if you have the same setup on your 88, make sure to check fuses as well.
