Ford Freestyle

Hey guys, just lookin for some info on the Freestyle. My grandma test drove an 06 today and really likes it but we want some feedback. The things i wonder about most is the reliability and durability of the CVT, and how easy/hard the whole vehicle is to work on. Looks like stuff is pretty packed in under the hood.

had one for a bit, but never had to do anything to it so i cant help you as far as maintenance goes.

myfordfreestyle.com is a good site to get info on them though

just wanted to add that i owned it for 3yrs and put 30k miles on it and never had any issues with it. ended up trading it on the truck because i just didnt feel comfortable towing with the cvt tranny. i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

We'd really like to know long term because she tends to keep cars for a long time. She has a 97 sable she bought in 98 and still has it. But like its been said, they haven't really been out long enough to really know.

We have an 06 with 65,000+ and have not had any problems other then a vent problem when it was a couple of months old.
