Non Ford gasser question...
Didn't know where to post this question...
I have a 94 GMC Sierra that I use for my hunting rig - the Ford is too long for some of the places I go. It will shut off when I put it in reverse but starts right up. Sometimes it will happen several times in a row and sometimes it's fine. It also did this the other day just pulling into a parking spot, I was doing a hard right turn at the time. any ideas? Oh, it has the 350 in it if that helps...with 253k on it! |

adjust your throttle to be a little higher at idle and it should be fine.... its just a tired motor..

Thanks for the fast reply, I'll try that and see. Getting it ready to hunt again!

It's been a great running truck for me, bought it in 98 with 84 k on it. I've probably put less than $2000 into it over the years in fixes. Just good maintainance. It is getting tired, that's why I bought my Powerstroke 2 years ago, the old blue truck was really getting slow towing my camper on the hills.
