Adding power to my truck.

Well I got a 92 F-150 5.0 e4od tranny 2wd. I want more power. exhaust and intake are obvious upgrades but what else I dont know how to work with Speed density.

I mean its not like throwing a tuner on a diesel adding injectors and a exhaust and a intake. theres alot more to consider with the engine tranny combo.

the tranny is computer controlled. I oh man. Headache. I want to boost 185 horsepower to 250. if some one could help shed some light on this

heres my truck

You do have a few options. You can do just about anything except change the cam. If you want to do that, get a Mass Air Conversion from FRPP.

First throw on some good exhaust, dual 2 1/2" or single 3".
Install a good air filter. I ran a drop-in K&N on my old '90 F-150 and it worked well.
You can get a new intake from Edlebrock and larger throttle body.
You can upgrade the ignition, I suggest the Crane Hi-6S ignition ang PS-91 coil.
You can get some aluminum heads like Edlebrock's performer 5.0's.

That should get you around 250, 300 with mass air and good cam.
