Both of you please send me a PM. One of my best friends is a former Ford Diesel Tech and the only person I've let work on my truck in the past 5 years. He started his own company and the quality of his work and labor rates are hard to beat. Last year, we (mostly him) did head studs and a Bulletproof oil cooler on my truck.

He's in Valrico, just outside of Brandon.

I live in Tampa, FL and own a 2001 7.3L. My question to any of you knowledgeable techs to diagnose the problem at my house (carrollwood). It starts and runs but I am afraid to drive it to create more problems.

The problem Im having is my engine shakes and it smokes out of the exhaust due to oil being dripped.

The maintenance and repairs so far up to date are
1. New valve cover gasket, new harness, new glow plugs
2. New Upper manifold pipes
3. New turbo seals
4. Cleaned entire fuel tank (dried and scrubbed entirely)
5. New Fuel Filter, New Fuel Pump
6. Changed engine oil/New Filter
7. some miscellaneous stuff

I've done a scan prior to the repair/maintenance, here are the codes:

P1140 (WATER IN THE FUEL) the light is not showing anymore

Since the maintenance, I have not done the scan. The Check Engine light is ON

If someone could shine a light, I'd greatly appreciate you
