Calling All Florida Members...Planning an Island Party G2G...Input Required!
To All Florida Members,
My name is Sergio and I have been a member of the Dirty South Strokers since the beginning...I'm stoked to see our chapter growing in population and I believe it's time for everyone to meet up and enjoy a family weekend at the same time. I live in Tarpon Springs, FL and am always out on the inter-coastal fishing and partying on the islands (3 Rooker, Anclote, Shell, etc). I'm thinking that it is time for another G2G that all Florida members can enjoy with their families as well! The plan is as follows: 1. All Florida members and their family members are invited to join in the festivities at 3 Rooker Island (10 minutes south of Anclote Key N.). All people wanting to attend will meet up at Anclote River Park in Holiday, FL and park in designated area(s). 2. I will then Ferry people to the island from the park on my boat (22' Center Console). It is a nice short drive full of a wonderful view and plenty of sunshine. I will enlist the help of other members to zone off a section of the island by setting up a tent and getting everything setup for the day. 3. At the end of the day we will get everyone back to the park and ready to head back home, or to arranged hotels or living quarters. I have all the necessary fishing lights for night fishing, so don't worry about darkness and travelling...it is safe and a very relaxing cruise back to the dock. 4. If anyone is interested in making a weekend out of it (Friday & Saturday or Friday - Sunday), I'm also offering an invite to those who like to fish for a night fishing adventure the morning of that Island Party. We would launch at 2am and go after Snook, Shark, Reds, and anything else that can bring in a good fight. This would be a good way to meet fellow fishing buddies that are also .org members. What we need is input from everyone on what month this works best for the majority of members. I'm thinking the end of October or the beginning of November. Storm season should be mild at that point. But again, input is needed from ALL Florida MEMBERS. Once the time frame is decided we will set the date and get a list of things everyone is willing to bring...this includes (but not limited to) food, drinks, ice, bait, tent(s), music (boombox), plates, napkins, plastic spoons and forks, and trash bags. Of course all members and family members attending are required to bring the following: Towels Happy Faces Fun Attitude and Spirit Sand Castle Erecting Equipment Frisbees, Footballs, and Entertainment Items and of course...family bonding, cameras, laughing, and fun! Let's get this thing rolling and have a huge turnout!! If there are any questions please feel free to post up or contact me and we will get everything answered in a timely fashion.
