big fish contest

i had un following the big buck contest. i personaly dont hunt and dont do a large amount of fishing but i think it would be neat to have something similiar to the big buck contest. not sure the times or "seasons" that it would be in but im just throwin that idea out there

I'd be game for this one also but there are so many ways to go about this! You could do a species contest like whoever catches the biggest largemouth bass. You can't do total weight cuz a shark and largemouth are not even in the same catagory just like a walleye and a trout. I'll do some thinkin on this one and try to come up with something! Also you have catch and release and then kept, hmmmmmmm..............

I'll do some research on this one stumpy and get back to ya and am open to more suggestions!

No problem Stumpy! I'll accepted all info from everybody and try to come up with some kind of format to do this fairly.

I'm thinkin a species one would be the best route to go and maybe have a sub one for the kids? Do pics and measuremants instead of weight that way if you release it or keep it as long as you have the measurements and a picture you'll be good to go!

I caught a catfish, but can't post a picture of it, because it is so big that the picture weights in at 37 lbs.

species contest would definately be the way to go on the big fish contest. I saw the big buck contest and it frustrated me. The whitetails were big, but the couldn't be compared with what I think is a picture of a Red Stag. I may be wrong on that, but yea the whitetails were big. A fish contest would be awesome
