Walleye Run Maumee river OH 08

Just thought I'd share a couple pics of my season so far. Dont know whos familiar with the walleye run in the Maumee river out of Lake Erie in NW Ohio, Ive caught my limit (4) three time out this season and a total of 21 fish this month. Pretty fun, can be busy on the weekends. Anyways heres a pic from this morning. The large one is a 7 lb spawned out (laid eggs already) female.

Dang Sean what part were you on. My grandpa used to take me down there by the old bridge that is no longer there. But you can tell there was a bridge there at one point and time. It between Downtown Maumee and 475/US23. Usually alot of people fishing that area this time of year.

Nice catch I bet they will taste great in a beer batter and deep fried.

Yeah Scott, I fish all over the river, caught my limit the other day by the bridge youre talking about. They werent biting there today so I fished a mile upriver today.

Yes they are fun to catch, but they are one of the best tasting fish in my book, thats why I go after em!
