Now it's June

I've never been ice fishing.
Other than the ice and what not, is it basically like regular fishing?

well, kinda, different tactics due to the fish holding tight on the bottom and the lack of ability to use conventional fishing methods. Set your self up over a hole with a tiny jig with a wax worm, a foot off the bottom and put em on the ice.
