Boat I/O conversion help
My Dad and I have a 1981 Sea Ray 22' with a cabin. We are constantly fighting lower unit issues. Recently I removed the Lower unit and found the transom plate/bell housing is rotted. We are very tired of fighting the outdrive and engine problems. So i am wanting to convert this boat to an Outboard. Does any one know a place in Texas that does this and any ideas of what a project like that would cost. I dont think i want to put a brand new engine on it so that should save some.
