The perfect storm.

Just watched this movie for the first time, and I must say. DAMN was that an awesome movie. The ending really REALLY hit home, my family has a line of fisherman, few of them died at sea. Crazy how real the movie was.

It don't matter how tough you are, if you've got a long line of fisherman in your family, watch that movie and it WILL bring a tear to your eye.

Crazy thing is, no matter the stories I hear from family, the funeral services I've been to, I would still up and leave my job in a second if I could get on a commercial fishing boat. Fishing would be just an amazing job, weather you're makin big money or not. My uncle was stuck to fishing, you have no idea how many times he said he was never going back out, etc. and here it is a month or so later, he's back out and it was like that till the day he died. Kinda like a love/hate type of job that I'd kill to do.

Yeah it is!! I've watched it so many times I lost count! I have buddies of mine that commercial fish back home in Washington and before they go on a big fishing trip we seem to watch that movie. If it were me fishing I probably wouldn't want to watch it..

Yeah, if I was a longliner going to the grand banks, I probably would NOT watch it before going out, but hell I may watch it again tonight with the wife, she don't understand why I wanna commercial fish so bad other than just my family did it.
