Pointless if you ask me. Unless ammo is $20 a round I'd rather sight it in the old fashioned way just so I can shoot

I used one on my M16 for my RCO and then took it to the range. It made me miss the target. When we boresighted the dot was way up and to the left. We put it back to center like it says too, then went to the range. My first day, My first 10 rounds actually, I was hitting way low and right. I would do it the old fashioned way as well...

well at $15 a box with only 5 rounds.... well that isn't cheap by all means

Most ranges have a boresighter that an experienced person can operate. They can get it on paper for you. Much cheaper.

I always just did it the ole fashoned way. pull the bolt out and out the rifle on some sand bags position the rifle tgo where you can see something through the barrel and them move the cross hairs to line up with it. usualy gets it closer than most "bore sighters"
