I actually have two. I have an original WW1 era 1911 that I lucked into from a fella that needed some cash back in the late '70's. Looks like hell but still shoots like a champ! As well, I have a 70 series from Colt as well that my ex-wife gave me years ago for my birthday. Love them both, they are excellent shooters..

THE SLIDE AND BARREL I BELIEVE IS REMINGTON RAND , THE FRAME IS A DOUBLE STAR, I CUT THE FRAME AT A STRESS POINT TO STOP FROM CRACKING, ALL THE INTERNALS (SEAR, HAMMER STRUT, MAINSPRING, DISCONNETOR, PIN SET, AND WHATEVER ELSE IS EITHER WILSON COMBAT OR STI) I ALSO BROKE OUT MY BRIDGEPORT AND CUT THE SLIDE WHERE THE EJECTION PORT IS AND OPENED IT UP A LIL AND FLARED IT ALL OUT.

THE NEXT THING IMA DO TO IT IS SEND IN THE SLIDE TO A GUNSMITH AND HAVE THE FRONT AND REAR SIGHT'S CUT TO A DOVETAIL MOUNT...
IT ALSO HAS THE LASER THAT REPLACES THE GUIDE ROD AND STUFF SO ITS RIGHT UNDER THE BARREL
