He didn't steal it from the army. Said that a lot of the GI 1911's were junk, from typewriter companies. Can't beat that quality. It still shoots perfectly. I learned how to field strip it when I was 10 years old. A trained monkey could service a 1911.

I have a COLT M1991 A1, I had the slide tighten to the frame, adjustable trigger, It's a tack-driver, Also have a pair of COLT OFFICERS, one has a special barrel bushing, the other has been MAGNA-PORT, a PARA-ORDNANCE P12 LDA & a PARA-ORDNANCE P14 and my last 1911 a INTERARMS SILVERCUP 45 (don't know much about this 45) but it a great shooter & accurate !!!

Had a Kimber Pro CDP. Waiting on delivery of my Springfield Champion Operator with some Custom Shop work done to it before it is shipped out. They said 90 days. I hope not!!
