Colt, IF you can find one, or Rock River.

Build you own. Head over to ar15.com and surf around. I have several, most built on Rock River or DPMS lowers. It's alot easier to build than one things.

Also consider the caliber you want... me personally, I would look into something other than the 5.56, like the 6.8 . I believe Bushmaster makes the best 6.8 out there right now. It's a bad-azz round. The only down side is that it's relatively new and so rounds aren't cheap right now but because of the war, no round is really all that cheap anyway.

And the 7.62 cal in the AK-47 is worthless at the range. Compared to the 5.56, the range of a 7.62x39mm sucks. Waiting for someone to argue me on this.

Yeah, the 6.8 spc is a really nice round. As is the 6.5 grendel. Stag arms is another one that is a little cheaper but still very good.

Read up on AR-10's... big boys gun!

Bushmaster lower Colt upper...IMO

Both are good guns, do some research on the AR forums and maybe build you own.
