Not 1911's, but 84's? Many talk about Kimber Roulette, that they're a crap shoot as to whether they'll be any good or not. I've bought 2, a .257 Roberts and a .308 Winchester, both used, both awesome.
Here is my newest toy, bought back in December,.257 Roberts Classic Select with upgraded wood. Handed it off to my dad to work a load up for it, 4 different powders, 6 different bullets ranging from 75 grain to 100 grain, all shot less than 1" groups, some significantly less. First trigger pull from me was a dead doe in the Kansas late doe season.
Also have a plain jane 84M in .308 Winchester. Have shot a few deer with this and even carried it elk hunting this year. It too is a shooter, Several 150 and 165 grain bullets shoot under an inch, often much under an inch.
