Getting my First Rifle
I've been looking for a Rifle for a while, I know what I want, but have to deal with stupid NY laws. So I originally wanted a HK 416, but have tried 4 dealers, 1 of them being the largest rifle dealer in the upstate area, and none can get it. Since I am looking for a piston driven rifle, the guy at the gun shop had me look at the POF P415, it seems like a pretty nice rifle, I saw an article about POF in a mag a couple of months ago, but don't know too much about them other than they're weapons are all American built at their factory.
Have any of you used one of their rifles before? Any thoughts are appreciated. James. |

I don't know the specifics of New York laws, but can't you just order it from an online dealer and have it sent to one of your local dealers?

Don't know anything about the Scar other than from COD.
In terms of getting it online, I haven't really looked, only place I could think of is Gun broker, but don't really want to do that, been burned a couple times on Ebay. |

I looked at the SCAR on their website, it looks as if it is military/LEO only.
Still don't know about that POF rifle, don't know anything about them, So I guess my search continues. James. |

I just looked at their website, not sure how you came to the conclusion that its mil/LEO only. I assure you, civilians can own that rifle. If you want to spend the money for it.
