Looking for information on these magazines

The smaller mag is a Winchester and has M-88 stamped on the inside. I looked up that rifel and you could get it in 303. However, this mag will not hold 303 rounds. The other appears to be a military style mag and it does have British 303 rounds in it. Can some one tell me the exact rifle the military mag goes to? Also, is there a way to date both these mags?

Don't know about the Winchester mag, but the military mag is from an Enfield.

I take it they are pretty common?

Yeah an Enfield is hardly a rare gun.

And the Winchester mag, from the Model 88, was only available in .284 Winchester and the .308 Winchester family of cartridges. It was never available in .303 British.

after I re-read the information I relaized that. I must have seen a 303 instead of 308 when I read it.
