Anyone have a Springfield Amory 1911?

I'm looking for my next handgun to be a Springfield 1911 Mil-spec and I was looking for opinions on the gun or if anyone's every had problems with it. Overall, I've heard they're pretty good pistols but a couple buddy's of mine have the G.I. version and have had cycling issues after about 300 rounds or so. Just kind of curious before I go out and buy it on a whim.

That's a pretty awesome pic man. I really like the grip on it too.

Springfield FTW!!

I have one and it runs absolutely perfect. It is my daily carry pistol.I have ZERO qualms with putting my life in its capabilities. It has about 3500ish rounds through it and I have never had a single FTF or FTE.

Your friend needs to contact Springfield directly and have them do warranty work on the pistol. They have a 100% lifetime warranty, many times with zero questions asked. Their customer service and support is absolutely awesome.
