any M1A shooters???

i was browsing the AR15 thread and figured the M1A's needed a hangout too! i got a loaded full length rifle with all the national match goodies last fall but have only had an opportunity to shoot it once before we got about 30' of snow lol. what an excellent rifle i have never really even shot anything with peep sights and i was on target in no time at 100 yards. i got a nice GI sling and was impressed by the multiple uses they have, definitely a must have for any M14/M1 type rifle if you ask me.

Now I'm jealous. I want an M1A reaaallllllly bad. I heard that the military is once again supplementing the M-4 with M-14's. The GI's like the heavier bullet/longer range.

not sure if thats true, they are definitely back in service, it took months for me to find my rifle because most of them are bought up by the feds.

M-1A

Here's my M-1A at the spa (on the bench getting cleaned).

The other is what it should look like as time and $$$ permit.

Have 2 of them. The regular 30-06 and the .308 tanker. Both are excellent shooting guns. Have you had the honor of "M1 thumb" yet.
