Nice choice! I bought an XL7c in 30-06 a few months ago, topped with a Burris rangefinder scope. Not even close to a Ziess, but it works for me

I thought about a 30-06 but i like the faster speeds of a 270. And that zeiss is my first "nice" scope and let me tell you, that thing is amazing. I could read something off your shirt at 500 yards.

I'm thinking about going coyote hunting tonight. If I don't go tonight, I will sometime this week for sure

Good luck and post pics. I'll be coyote hunting out here once the snow comes in.

I got my '06 so that I could change the barrel out to a 25-06 if I wanted, for Whitetail hunting in NE. Come to find out that I could have done the same with the 270. Oh well, I like the heavier/bigger bullet for Elk anyway

I have a buddy that owns a pair of Swaravski (sp?) binocs, and those puppies are sweet! Too rich for my poor azz though

I put about 4 rounds through this morning and found out it was about 8 inches low and 4 inches to the right at 25 yards so I need to do some serious work
