some styles clamp to the top rail and some have to be bolted (some bolt to the top and some to the bottom of the rail).

x2 on the directions

it was 325$ on craiglsist so it did not come with directions. the thing i am worried about is where to bolt it and were to hook up the wires. should i just figure out which wire is the brake and which one is the back up and splice them with the ones under the bed going to the back already ??

if it were me i would tie into the wires at the end of the harness (at the lights so if something shorts out it doesnt take out your entire light system of your bed)

thats a lot of wire will. tap in at the bed and fuse it. there will be an inch or so of potential wire shortage, but if you put the splice in the right spot, your chances of shorting out will be minut
