custom center console

I wanna make one thats also a box for my 10" sub. was thinking of making the whole thing outta wood, and adding some power outlets inside and drink holders and a PADDED top. also wanna try and take advantage of the "wasted" space between my stick and the middle seat/console.

i wanna hear some of yalls ideas.

like should i have the sockets always hot or key on hot? how should i do the padded top and what kinda material would hold up well? how should i position the sub?

From what i ahve seen or heard, a downward facing sub sill give great results there. I would do an accessory on for the outlets in the event you leave something plugged in it doesnt run down your batteries. Usa a high density foam no more than 1/4" and leather seems to hold up fairly well, just buy extra so you can replace it later if you decide it looks too faded. If you do it post pics, I would love to see what others can do! good luck!

Here ya go, its not done yet but i test fit it and plug in the sub and everything to try it. It fits between the two seats and replaces the jump seat it also bolts to the same brackets that the jump seat mounted too. It sounds awesome, made out of 3/4 and 1/2 inch plywood and MDF. I took it back apart to cover it with vinyl that matches my interior. It hold a 10" sub, the storage comparment can hold a bunch i put my maglite in there (4D one) along with a ton hats and safety glasses and sunglasses. also the cup holders and front part extend to the dash and the little "drop down" is where i throw my wallet/cellphone/knife, when i get out to work, also the comparment area below it is big enough to hold my power inverter (laptop use) and then below where you see the two oval shaped holes is where the sub mounts for easy access to disconnect and connect wires. It sounds excellent!!!
