Was looking around at a few kits and decided that i'd rather tackle the task of making my own!

hope this helps. it will give you the dimension of the brackets and the basic idea. the traction bar is just a suggestion an is built to what ever length your looking for ie: longer for ride and axle roll, short for less ride quality more hook. i like longer my self.... plus they look sick hanging out there.

i thought of fabricating some to sell but here is the plans in a nut shell. i have use square tube and roun tube. you can also use 11 gauge instead of eigth but i like my stuff robust and non breakable ( to extent)

Should I have bushings where it connects to the frame rail bracket an the axle?

At the fixed point. The heim joint shouldn't need them they move freelyt as long as they are greasable. Did the pictures help you? I was bored so I drew them on paint. If you have any questions just ask. If I don't catch it in the thread you can pm me. I work on the road all over, rediculous hours so some times I don't check the site. So it might take me a little bit. Ps if you use round tube. Get yourself a tubing notcher. It will save you a lot of hassle.

This for frame. Side, with a piece of tube. I'm not sure of the size of these bushings or the insert so you may want to verify that bevore purchasing them but this should give you the idea of what you need
