FASS/Airdog
long story short i have been having hard start issues with my truck ever since it has gotten cold, because the fass system cant pump the thicker fuel like it normally would. so i have decided to park my truck and totally redesign my fuel system. so basically i want some input on how others have dealt with this problem and the problems that you are still having. i have considered larger pumps, fuel heaters, coolant heaters, and the list goes on. so basically i want to hear what problems you guys have had with fass or airdog.
PLEASE DONT START BASHING ONE OR THE OTHER. i want honest opinions cause i really want to solve this problem for good. so lets hear what you guys have for ideas.
On my truck you can tell when the pump finally bogs down when the fuel pressure builds up and it will start just fine. is this the same for others? this is when the temperatures are below 40 degrees otherwise its fine.
please give me your problems and ambient temperatures when they occur along with year, engine and fass or airdog model. all input is wanted so this is open to Dodge and Chevy along with other aftermarket fuel systems. any info will help.
