Welders

anyone have any experience with Hobart welders? I know they're made by the same company as Miller, looking for something to accomplish some projects, not looking to make a living using it

I was eyeballing a 110/220 they've got that'll do 3/8's, really debating whether or not I need to weld thicker than 1/4in metal

If your just tinkering I think the 3/8's welder is overkill IMO....

I figure it'd be overkill, but that's kinda my thing sometimes, I'd rather have it then not sometimes

I've got a Hobart dual voltage. Will do flux core or solid wire with gas. Can also be used with a spool gun to do aluminum. Been a great welder, does what i need it to. One tip, go ahead and buy a heavier duty ground clamp and switch it out. The one that comes with it is a joke.
