He's a smart guy and makes a dang good rum and coke to boot!

The wife and I go up there at least once a winter to sit and drink in the hot springs. Nothing like swimming in hot water when it's -40f and the northern lights are out.

He has also built a trailer that hooks to an oil well drill rig and uses the waste geo thermal heat to make electricity. He's getting about 12K watts off of just the waste heat from drilling.

man how i would love to live in Alaska, or at least go back. it is an amazing state! that idea is really cool and a money maker for sure! I wonder if ford_trck (ross) knows this guy.

Took me ten years to get lined out so I could live my Alaska dream and it was worth it every bit!

Everyone here knows of him and most have crossed paths with him at his hot springs.
