Check out what i made!!

Made it this weekend. Its 3 layers of Mahogany glued together and pressed to shape. Used the garage floor at the cabin and by dads suv to press it. McGivered a pretty slick press out of some square steel tubes. you can see the crease on the kick tail where one of the bars was placed. Then used steel tubing across those bars with the jack on top and jacked the suv up on there to get some bendage Its not totally done, the man o war i used to treat the wood hasnt completely dried, so tomorrow ill but grip tape on it, and next weekend when im home ill paint something trick on the bottom!

I also made some risers for the trucks out of the scraps i had.

you can kinda see some of the nose bend in there, i cant wait to ride it!

Sorry for the poor background, gotta love dorm life!
What do you guys think!?

I guess my question is why Joey? There are lots of good decks out on the market. It is cool but I would hate to tear it up.

It should hold up pretty well since i wont be hitting any rails or doing anything extreme besides carving with it. I had some time this weekend and a band saw at my disposal buildin stuff is relaxing too so i figured why not!?
Im up at NAU at school, itll be the sickest long board on campus

haha surprisingly it really wasnt THAT difficult to make as long as your not in a hurry. I figured out a better way to press the wood, could be done in a dorm room haha....cept for the cutting!

Im gonna make one for my 270lb 6' 8" roommate eventually, and im gonna use 4 layers of 1/8" baltic birch and put 2- 1/8" thick by 1" wide steel (or another type of metal im not sure yet) stringers through one of the layers. Itll be big boy approved
