HID 8000k kits headlights & fogs

I purchased an order and received HIDs today and being as I'm from California, I was told firmly by a family friend who is a police officer in town to not install these lights on my truck. He said for certain I would be pulled over and ticketed, and will be putting myself at risk because I have huge train horns underneath my truck and I'm running a straight pipe. He told me it would be a shame to get pulled over for these lights and get a 502 for having a couple drinks.
So I'm making the decision to sell them as the place I purchased from has no return policy. I bought these two kits for 175$ and will sell them for 150$ shipped. Still in the shipping box with the kits not even touched/or seen. The kits are the H13 for the headlights and 9145 for the fogs both 8000k and 55Watts.

I have them in my F-350 but i think mine are the 35 W 8Ks. I have ran them for over a year now with no problems. I have notice that the Fog lights seem to be more blinding to oncoming traffic than the head lights.
