WHY??? the 05 front end is so much nicer, cheaper, and easier.

The 05 is definitely nice, and much cheaper and easier. I just know myself too well. I like the 08 style, I set my mind to do it; so inevitably I will only want to do what I orginally got excited about. Even if I did the 05 conversion, I would end up wanting to do the 08 conversion next. Why go through the hassle? There is one thing to be said though. I'm not going to spend more than $2k to do it and so far it looks like that's where I'm headed is over the $2K mark. I've got more research to do, and a lot more phone calls to make. I made a few calls to junkyards in the local area and none of them had an 08 F350. They were however able to get an entire front end (minus engine and tranny) for around $4500 which is out of my budget and not even neccessary.

well first off, i don't thing you will be able to find many 08-09 f350 in the junk yard! if you don't care about your parts being Capa certified, then try Certifit. i'm pretty sure you would be able to find all parts (new) for a cheap price. i have used them a lot.

have a 08 hood my buddy changed to cowl hood. if u want it i will see how much he wants for it. it in perfect shape. shipping would be the big deal
