OIL LEAKING BAD
hey guys kind of a newbie here.....i have a pretty good knowledge of gasoline engines and i am just getting my feet wet with diesels here. So this leads to my major dilema. I have a 2000 F-250 with a 7.3 and i pulled up to my house last nite and did a little look over my truck and seen it was literally pissing oil. I was reading through the forum and saw what seems to be a common problem as far as a HPOP leaking? Now i have no idea what this is or where it is. There is a lot of oil in the valley and it is all over the bottom of the motor...i was lookin around today after work and rite behind the fuel filter (the one on top of the motor) and kind of underneath it there is a bolt with a o-ring that looks like it is tore and popped out and that seems to be where it is leaking from......so any help would be greatly appreciated and as soon as possible to for this is my only vechicle

well i pulled that bolt out and replaced the o-ring and it seems to have fixed the problem.....but the hpop? is that your high pressure oil pressure regulator?

hpop is your high pressure oil pump that feeds your injectors
