Fan bolts broken

I tried a quick search but did not see anything....

While sitting at a red light, a nice clanking noise comes from the motor. Pull away from the light and notice there is no power steering, brakes and a/c has stopped cooling. I get it wrestled to the side of the road and see the belt is chewed up and the water pump pulley is pulled off the motor nearly into the fan. After a nice tow truck ride I find three of the bolts are broke off in the water pump. Any suggestions on how to take the fan off to get the pulley off so I can get the bolts out?

Maybe I am not following what you are saying. If you are trying to remove the fan clutch from the front of the water pump that was no longer being secured. You would have a hard time to hold the pulley. If you use a zip gun it will get it off without having to securely the pulley. This is the way I got Dirks off his pump. JJ
