Fixed! .Fuel supply issue!!-- It was the fuel pump...
I left my night job, got on the highway, everything swell. I got to pass a car..step on the pedal, nothing, in fact the engine bogs down, i get off the pedal, it goes back up in RPM, but no power being produced...power falls off until engine stops. I pull over.....wait about 8 min, restart the truck, drives like its great........until it dies about 5-6 min later. Kind of like it ran outta fuel.
Help! If a fast fix, I'm happy. Other issues with truck..occasional misfire when cold. No codes currently aside from p0603 and the p0000 p1000 codes. Yes, it was on looney by DJ but I use it for MPG, not for romping speed...at least not when I'm commuting Fuel filters are 12-14k miles old, oil changed about 5k ago. No overheating or shifting issues (aside from no power = no shifting) thanks for your necessary ideas Last edited by kinghawg98; 06-03-2009 at 02:16 PM. |

Don't know squat about 6.0's, but any chance it's fuel pump issue? If not at least it's bump for you.

+1 on fuel filters. Work truck did the exact same thing. Changed filters and was good to go.

Put it back to stock tunes and change the filters. Also drain the water if any. Then see what happens.
