03 6.0 Powerstroke Misses Help Please!!

When I am going down the road and set the cruise and come up to a hill and start pulling it it misses then blows black smoke and does this couple times then comes out of it and does it again. I just replace the fuel pump and lost an injector and had ford put a new one in it today. They said the rest were fine and it runs fine till I hit a hill and start pulling. Also has new filters. Anyone have any ideas what I could do next. Maybe EGR Valve? I just went and drove it again and just did it in town driving then let off and limped it for a ways then it ran fine again.

You may have got some bad diesel what did your lower fuel filter look like when you changed it. May be something stuck in the fuel line that happened to me Because I filled up at flyin j And there was silver paint chips in my diesel.

You can pull the egr valve and clean it but you dont need it so just leave it unplugged it wont throw a code on the 03 models when you unplug it it will just close the valve.

you have a egr valve problem more than likely , unplugging the valve does no good, if the valve is bad its bad , unplugging it is a bad misconception, boost and exhaust pressures can still open it if its bad , get codes pulled , and see what codes are in it before making any repairs
