so I am trying to help my friend out, he has a 2005 f350 with the 6.0 diesel motor. and his fuel injection control module went out and the truck is running like crap. Does anyone know where to get one, we called ford and they want alot for one.

Check the for sale threads on here and some of the other boards. There are usually some for sale used that can be had for a few hundred bucks. I just sold my spare a few weeks ago for $200.

It could be under warrenty, I can't quite remember exactly but I think it is 8 years and not sure on mileage, but it is under the emmissions warenty if it is the ficm.

The ficm is under waranty for how long?

I think the FICM is included as part of the 5 yr 100k engine warranty. You would just have to pay the $100 deductible.

I own a 2005 Ford F350 4x4 Dually with a 6.0 Powerstroke diesel. The FICM failed and I had it replaced by the local Ford Service Dept. The cost for a new one was 675.00

I just picked my truck up an hour ago from ford and the FCIM was 685 and then the labor was another 100 plus tax and everything the bill was $816.13 not fun thats after i already replaced the $300 injector that they had to replace again b/c the fcim ruined the new one that i put in...or atleast thats what they tell me
