oil pan removal

Hi, Has anyone been able to remove oil pan on 2000 7.3 without removing engine? Suspect cracked or plugged suction tube, debating to pull eng or try to remove pan.
Thanks

Pull the engine, it's far to easy then jerry rigging it under the truck and then having to do it again because you didn't get the pan to seal properly.
