idm trouble

I was told that i have a bad idm. I have an 02 truck that i think has AD inject. I had a IDM from a previous truck but it is a AB. I hooked it up and the truck seems to run fine. will this mess my truck up or hurt the performance should I buy the right IDM for my rig

i don't know whether or not it will mess up your rig. my personal rule of thumb is to get the right part for the job. BTW, that part at Ford is about $1100 and i have heard the IDM is one of a few parts where the IH version won't work on the Ford side.

i found a used one here in town for 200 but you dont know what your gettin . I drove it to work today and it ran fine but I just dont want to screw anything up. Im pretty good at that lol.
